Selecting the Right Senior Living Environment in Cary / Apex

|

Selecting the right senior housing option for yourself or your loved one can be a daunting task. There are a number of options, each with its own dedicated terminology.  When evaluating your options, it's important to not only consider what types of services you need now, but to also what you may need in the future. Whether you are looking for lifestyle-focused options, like independent living, or need a little more support, the staff at the Reserve at Mills Farm is here to help you evaluate the options and select one that is right for you or your loved one.

Independent Living

For seniors who are not in need of much in the way of direct support, independent living is a perfect option. Independent living options help provide low-maintenance housing for seniors along with amenities to meet their needs. At the Reserve at Mills Farm, amenities include five star dining, a movie theatre, bocce ball, indoor and outdoor amenity spaces, a spa and much much more.

Assisted Living

Seniors who need support with daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, and taking medication may need an assisted living environment. Assisted living communities provide staff trained in helping seniors with daily tasks such as bathing, getting dressed and preparing meals. The Reserve at Mills Farm has one of the Triangle area’s most luxurious Assisted Living settings, and trained staff at the ready to help.

Memory Care

Seniors with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia need a special level of care. Memory care facilities help those experiencing memory impairments remain active and happy. Programs such as our Pathways to Discovery help patients keep their identity, dignity, and interests.  The Reserve at Mills Farm is proud to boast the Cary-Apex area’s only small home, purpose-built Memory Care program.  Our residents live in 5,000 square foot homes, with six residents per home, specially designed for seniors with cognitive impairment.  This type of environment has been shown to maximize resident, staff, and family satisfaction and outcomes.

Respite Care

Respite care is for seniors who need short-term care following a hospital stay or rehabilitation. In this level of care, seniors are able to recover and recharge under the care of a trained health-care professional. Respite care allows seniors who are recovering to remain active and healthy.

No matter which services you or your loved one needs, as part of Navion Senior Living, The Reserve at Mills Farm is dedicated to providing the highest quality senior living options. We are committed to continuous innovation, constantly seeking out new technologies, service models, and best practices to improve the lives of the seniors.
